The last two months....

Well, I have a new profound respect for all mothers!  Being a mother is SUPER hard.  For the last two months, the hardest thing I've had to experience is their feeding schedules (or lack of) and sleep deprivation.  For all twin mothers, you are not alone!! I've had to experience constant non stop feedings lasting days,  hourly feedings during the daytime and hourly feedings during the nighttime.  NO downtime whatsoever.  Exercise is out of the question, eating is not even a priority anymore.  AND of course, during these cluster feedings, I've had zero sleep.

The girls are continuing to grow super fast, Keira is nearing 10 pounds and Naomi is nearing 12 pounds already!!  At corrected age, Keira is 50th percentile and Naomi is 90th percentile in terms of weight!!  The girls like to stand, do squats, kick and starting to hold their head up.  They are also more awake during the daytime. AND best of all, they are starting to sleep through the night (at least more than five hours in the middle of the night), YIPPEE.  Sleep is overrated anyways.

As for me, I'm recovering super well.  You can barely tell I have bells palsey, I've already lost over 50 pounds, so only 24 pounds to go, I no longer have high blood pressure, my PUPPs is almost all gone and I don't take any more medication for hypertension!!  Woohoo.
Enjoy these pictures!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Keira and Naomi had their first visit with Santa last week.  It's funny how the photographer was able to catch both the twins striking a pensive pose.  Two months old, and they're already thinking about what presents they want from Santa :)

Lalu2 + McCourt2 = Twin-demonium!

Last week the McCourts went to the Lalus for dinner and Laura's mom made an excellent meal.

It wasn't that long ago that we were in the same house for dinner and both Tracy and Laura were pregnant, and now all four babies were there.  Amazingly, we all managed to sit and eat for at least 5 minutes before one of the four babies began to cry!  Luckily, Tracy and Laura were able to find time to eat their dinner in between many trips to the nursery to feed and change babies.

It was a fun night.  Can't wait for future opportunities for the girls to play together!

6 Weeks Old - Eyes Wide Open

So Naomi and Keira are growing really fast.  Naomi is well over 8 lbs and Keira is well over 7 lbs.  Can you spot the difference between the two pictures above??  They are big eaters but also fast eaters and my mom thinks they are very good babies  because they seldom cry...I'm very lucky!!!

Here are the two little girls with the eyes open and somewhat smiling :)

I'm sure very very soon, it'll be harder and harder to tell them apart once they are closer in weight and fatness :)  I'll have to paint their nails to tell them apart!!

Big help for big kids

Keira and Naomi are now starting to get too big for a single bassinet.
A couple nights ago we were just getting one to fall asleep when the
other would head butt her or hit her somehow. And they would take
turns either sleeping or hitting. So, we decided to put them in
separate bassinets and they've been sleeping better since then. At
least the bassinets are still beside each other so they can keep each
other company with their grunts and groans.

In other news, the girls got to meet Auntie Kristy (Rick's sister)
this last week. It was awesome having the extra help around the
house. And now the first of the grandma visits has begun with Tracy's
mom. Good thing the extra help is here because Rick has to go back to
work on Wednesday... boo!

More Pictures!

Tracy:  So just wanted to give a quick update before the babies wake up!  I'm recovering well right now, my bells palsey is getting better, my blood pressure is normal, and I'm off blood pressure medication! Although I still have the pregnancy rash, it is slowly going away!!  So yippee, I never developed any serious post pregnancy complications...which the doctors were worried about :)

As for our new life together, its been busy busy.  We kinda have a schedule, we don't sleep very much but we still get out to walk the dog, go grocery shopping with the babies, or just walk around the mall!  We also had a couple of photoshoots with the babies, one of which is posted below for everyone's happy viewing.

Keira and Naomi quick update:  They are growing well and fast. The pediatrician is very happy about their growth rate, they are growing at a rate of 1 to 2.5 oz per day!!

Funny dreams

One of the things our nurse and pediatrician said was that it's good
when the babies aren't swaddled and have their arms free because it
can help them move stuff away from their faces and help prevent SIDS.
After 3 weeks, the girls are still acting like preemies and don't need
to be swaddled to fall asleep... that's all they do is sleep.

Funny thing with their arms being free is that they often do the same
things while sleeping. This morning they both woke up looking like
this:

The twins are 1 week old

Keira and Naomi turned one week old yesterday, so here's a summary of our one week with them so far:

Keira and Naomi Arrived!!

Youtube video: Keira and Naomi cuddling with each other

Keira and Naomi were born on October 7, 2010 at 16:26 and 16:27.  Naomi weighted 5.5 lbs and Keira weighed 4 lbs 11 oz.  Due to pregnancy complications, I had a surprise C-section during a visit to the hospital to just check out my Bells Palsey. The doctors said my body had enough and was reacting in a very crazy way saying the babies need to come out!!  I guess starting with a crazy pregnancy rash, then hypertension and finally Bells Palsey were very obvious signs.  Fortunately, the babies came out very very healthy!!  Keira and Naomi only spent one night in the intensive care unit and was then discharged to be with me in my room during my hospital stay.  We were all discharged on October 10, 2010, what a great thanksgiving gift!!.  Although they are premies, they are super strong and healthy!!  I'm recovering very well, the C-section is the least of my worries considering all the complications I had.  So I made myself get out and see the babies in the intensive care unit right after my C-section. I'm trotting and walking very well already and starting to recover from my Bells Palsey, rash and hypertension.  Rick is doing an awesome job as a father.  He's a natural and in heaven with the twins finally in his arms!!  Here are some pictures of Keira and Naomi.  Enjoy!

RickSide: Rick's in charge

So, Tracy is now officially on bed rest.  The OBGYN says she's only allowed to get up to shower, eat, and use the washroom.  Looks like I'll be cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc, all alone.  I guess it's just an early kick start to what it's going to be like when Tracy is recovering from her c-section and breast feeding 24/7.

Tracy's blood pressure started to rise a couple weeks ago and now it is at a level that made the docs worry a bit.  They're worried about hypertension and preeclampsia (which we've read occurs in 1 in 5 multiple births.)  We're told it could come on at any time, so we have a nurse coming to see Tracy at the house every day.

The doctor says that the babies are going to arrive before October 19th, so place your bets now!  He said it could be any day.

Might not make it to 37 Weeks :(

34 Weeks 3 days - Major growth spurt for the twins! Based on the ultrasound, Naomi is 5 lbs and Keira is 4lbs 6 oz!!  They are growing super well....however, that's almost 10 lbs of baby weight in my belly!!  I think their growth spurt has taxed my body badly....

According to the obstetrician, I might have pregnancy induced hypertension, booo!! The obstetrician told me its very unlikely I'm going to make it to 37 weeks  (scheduled C-section date) due to my condition:(  I'm getting monitored much more frequently because my blood pressure is increasing and on top of that, I have a very severe case of PUPPs on my body, so I have two ultrasounds and doctors appointments next week.  The nurse told me she's never seen the PUPPs sooo bad.  I didn't feel very good when she told me that.   For the last week, I've been suffering from PUPPs, ringing in my ears and shortness of breath.  I felt like I've been through hell.  PUPPs is like a million itchy rashes or mosquito bites all over your body, and I got it from my feet to my neck, literally covering my body, which is not very common.  Then the rashes turn into blisters and finally into big welts. I guess the babies are pushing my body to the max!  On top of that, the obstetrician said there isn't anything I can take, other than some topical cream, which is over the counter strength.  The good thing is that I think I'm finally recovering.  Well its been over one week since I've had PUPPs and I'm finally able to talk about it, its not nearly as itchy.  But unfortunately, I'm going to look like a bright red burnt raspberry until I give birth. If anyone gets it, I suggest taking oatmeal baths, using Aveeno products, and benadryl to sleep at night.  As for sleeping, well, it hasn't been easy.

I'm taking it day by day now.  The only way to incubate these babies is literally taking it easy, almost bed rest.  I feel like I'm almost at bed rest, its seriously hard to walk now due to my condition.  Rick won't let me do anything.  I just hope that in my next doctors appointment on Monday that my blood pressure is ok and I won't be put to bed rest or hospitalized or have my C-section pushed earlier.  Keep your fingers crossed!!

33 Weeks 3 days - 3.5 Weeks to go till October 19th!!

YIKES, 3.5 weeks to go!!   I can't believe it, time flies !!  So I'm going to weekly ultrasounds now, and the nurse monitors fetal movement, heart rates and contractions for 20 minutes.  I've passed with flying colors for the last two tests :)

So my new pregnancy symptoms are constant braxton hicks contractions, itchy belly and the dreaded stretch marks.  Despite the constant braxton hicks contractions, the obstetrician and nurse think I'm going to carry to term :)   As for my belly, I guess my belly is stretching to the max and drooping now so my skin has finally said, enough is enough, I'm letting go and I'm going to be itchy:)  Haha.

My most recent hobby is making cards!  I  recently attended a Stampin Up party and now I'm kinda addicted to making cards. Its actually very relaxing and I see instant results.  I still love making chocolate but it's a lot of work, the chocolate batch doesn't always work out.  Cards are waay easier and faster to do!

Next week, the babies get weighed again..so hopefully they are well over 4 lbs!!  Keep your fingers crossed :)  As for weight gain, I'm 165 lbs now, so I really hope that this weight gain has benefited the babies!!  The nurse and doctor are never concerned about my weight...so I guess that's good.  The nurse did say that I'm retaining a lot of water.

Oh ya, here is a picture of my feet at 33 weeks, they are soooo fat!!  When I look at myself in the mirror, I honestly don't recognize myself anymore!!  My arms and butt are three times the size they use to be..and my legs..well Rick agrees I have fat legs now :)  I'm Mrs. Humpty Dumpty, I find my new body comical !!

RickSide - Sympathy weight gain

Just to get some idea of how it feels like to be Tracy, I picked up proportionally the same amount of weight that she's carrying around.  Tracy is currently 163 lbs, and before the pregnancy she was 103 lbs.  That's a 58.25% increase in weight.  The equivalent for me would be to carry around 102 lbs extra.

I only lasted about 30 seconds...

5 Weeks to go! 32 Weeks - My belly is 4 FEET around!!!

Wow.  GROWTH spurt!!  So I'm a shrimp in height, towering a few inches over 5 feet yet my belly is 4 feet!!  I'm amazed I can walk.  In fact, this week, I've walked more than I ever have in the last month.  I'm wondering if I'm finally getting used to the weight :)  I guess gaining 60 lbs is the magic number where my body says, ok, tough it up legs, you've had adequate training over the last few months so suck it up and walk.  Haha.  Of course, I stop when my back starts to ache and my belly gets hard..which I guess means time to REST and drink lots of water!   As for clothing choices..I'm not picky, I wear anything that fits, no matter how ugly, as long as its comfy.  I'm still looking for more moomoos..my last two moomoos are too small now :(

Keira and Naomi Ultrasound:  So Keira weighs 3lbs 4oz and Naomi weights 3lbs 7oz.  They are both very, very active and passed today's nonstress test with flying colors.  Their both head down and kicking a storm!  During the nonstress test, I had multiple braxton hicks contractions..which I didn't feel at all and had no idea I had them!  The only contractions I feel on a daily or weekly basis are when I do too much work...where my belly aches, my back starts to hurt and my belly is hard...so I have to rest right away.

Newborn Shoots:  So I'm soo excited to get new born shoots when the babies are born.  Michelle Tuck has generously offered to do a shoot with the newborns and Amber Sheen Photography as well!!  I'm sooo excited.  My newborns are already getting a taste working as baby models.  I've recently purchased bear beanie hats and flower headbands for the shoot :)

RickSide - Guinness' extended experience with kids

As Tracy mentioned a few blog posts ago, our friends Ly and Kyle came to visit with their daughter, Kyri.  Guinness handled it well :)

RickSide - My twin experience

Guys experience pregnancy symptoms too, right?

- Tracy's iron levels dropped and had to be put on iron supplements... ditto for me.
- I've been feeling more tired recently (however it's getting better with the iron supplements)
- Oh... and the sympathy pregnancy belly?

But, it's all good.  I don't want Tracy to have to go through this alone!  But seriously, it's only fair I guess, since as Tracy mentioned earlier, I've always wanted twins.  Before we started trying for kids I tried to figure out if there was any way I could naturally increase my chances of twins.  I guess all I needed was a strong will :)

Less than 6 weeks to go - Counting down!!

Here's another picture by Michelle Tuck :)  My belly looks like a HUGE pumpkin...
Ly and Emily laughed when they saw how huge I was.  I guess I am pretty big...lol.

So everyone's been asking what are we doing in preparing for the twins??

We recently finished prenatal classes and as we suspected, raising twins is going to be hard, no matter how prepared you are!!

Twin Preparation: So with my gimpy slow heavy body, I finally have the nursery functionally ready, and I've been creating diaper change stations everywhere in the house.   I've also been slowly purchasing baby necessitates like premie diapers and researching on cloth diapers and cord stem bank.  I've been shopping really fast, no more than 10 or 15 minutes at a store at a time and then I have to sit right away.  And of course, reading up on books on twins after birth.  I've also been slowly cooking at least one meal a week that I can freeze.

Pregnancy Symptoms - 3rd Trimester: In the last few weeks, I've been feeling a lot of weight and pressure in my lower belly, the belly feels really hard and my feet get really really swollen.   According to the nurse last week, she suspects I've been getting contractions when I do too much..so I need to stop and rest. Maybe braxton hicks contractions?  Hence why Rick has been calling me two to three times a day to check up on me..making sure I'm resting.  I've also been getting carpal tunnel, swollen hands, stretch marks on my butt but not on my belly (so far...), cankles, and retaining a lot of water in my legs.  I actually get indentations when Rick pokes at me on my ankles and feet!!  I'm also slightly anemic and so is Rick...we both take iron pills now.  As for sleeping..I get really sore every couple of hours and I have to switch sides.  The weight of my belly leaves me breathless when I turn in bed.  When I sneeze or want to blow my nose, it really really hurts, I think the twins are under my ribcage :)  As for going up three flights of stairs in my house..it hasn't been easy.  I waddle slowly up the stairs, trying not to rush too much blood to my feet.  HOWEVER, all these symptoms are pretty minor and the nurse thinks I'm having an ideal pregnancy..which is awesome to know that!  I'm very grateful.

Renos: Poor Rick is trying to finish our ensuite bathroom renovation alone.  Its been very weird for me to not help in any way.  The only thing I helped with is putting the drawers together from our new vanity..but I feel so helpless..  When I was pregnant at 10 weeks and up to 18 weeks pregnant, I was still able to help with the renos, I prepared the ground for our new shed, carried the shed boxes into the backyard, put the shed together with him, and assembled the cabinets in our kitchen (which I mostly did alone).  I even played tennis for two to three hours at a time but of course my obstetrician told me to quit rightaway during my first visit at 18 weeks.  I miss doing renovations with Rick..I actually love DIY projects..even if its as crappy as putting drywall up, cutting wood, or insulating a wall.

Final Thoughts: Weird as it is, even with all the new weight/symptoms... I love being pregnant. I'm soo relaxed..I've never felt so relaxed before without getting restless....so its a nice feeling.  I'm ok with just hanging in the spa or sitting around and watchin movies...probably because this is the last time I'm going to ever feel like this once Keira and Naomi enter the world:)

31 Weeks, Fundal Height = > 44 cms - Baby Shower, Kindle and Odyssey!

Fun Shoot: So here's another fabulous picture from my fun shoot with Michelle Tuck.  We just played around with colors, backdrops, lighting, it was fun and so glad I got the opportunity to work with her!

Baby Shower and Twin Preggos: I had a baby shower late August and it was super fun!  My pregnant friends who are also carrying twins all showed up, so there were three of us preggos carrying all twin girls! SIX baby girls in the belly at the party, wow!! I think the three of us scared everyone else at the shower.  The only connection between the three preggos is that we all played beach volleyball last year.  Pamela Stewart is my beach volleyball partner and Laura and I played in a beach tournament and kicked butt!!

Thanks to Tara for her generosity and throwing me a perfect Martha Stewart baby shower. Some highlights included guessing how big my waist was (everyone overestimated by at least 4- 18 inches!!) and everyone was required to give me a baby book...which I absolutely loved!!!  Tara is sooo awesome for thinking of these ideas!  I'm also soooo grateful that the girls took the time to show up at the shower and provided me all the adorable gifts!

Kindle and Odyssey:  So my latest purchases include a new kindle and an Odyssey!!  Well, Rick actually bought me the kindle as a gift and its super awesome.  Its 3G so it connects to the cell phone network for free for downloading books, going on the internet, checking your email etc.  It also has wifi so you can connect to your home internet service for free too.  I think for value for money, the Kindle beats the Ipad!!  The kindle is super easy to read on, fairly fast and very light too :)

Now the Odyssey, wow!  Who would have thought buying a minivan would be exciting?  Rick and I actually love it.  We love the cargo space, the smooth ride, and of course the automatic sliding doors.  We bought a used 2007 Odyssey with only 27000 kms...and with 7 year warranty starting on the day we bought it.  The only crappy thing is that we now have three cars!!  Eventhough the Crossfire is technically my car, Rick has been driving it most of the time and now is in too much love to sell it.  We actually checked the trade in value for the Crossfire and one dealership offered the same price I paid for it last year including taxes!  Oh well.

Summarizing thoughts:  Rick is sooo lucky that his wish for twins came true.  I also feel very lucky too..but Rick is truly in heaven.   I asked Rick to blog about it..which will be coming soon.

Belly Flop at 31 Weeks - 159 lbs

Keira and Naomi: At my ultrasound at 30 weeks, Keira and Naomi were having a blast in my belly.  They were both dancing, head down and having hiccups.  Keira weighed 2lb 12 oz and Naomi weighted 3 lb 2oz.  Looks like Naomi is hogging all the nutrients!!  Based on the fetus growth charts, Keira is lagging behind in terms of weight, somewhere in the 25th percentile while Naomi is 48th percentile.   Rick keeps telling me to rest more so the babies can grow.  The obstetrician says its very normal for one twin to gain more than the other. Majority of twin births are like that.  Everything looks good!

Scheduled C-Section:  The babies are out on October 19th!!  I'm planning to give birth during my 37th week of gestation.  Lets hope they don't come out any earlier.  Rick thinks that I can carry longer than 37 weeks...we'll see.  I'll play it by ear.  As I get closer to the time and everything looks good, I will push my C-Section date just so the babies can gestate more.  Right now, everything is going well, I'm apparently having an 'ideal' and 'fabulous' pregnancy according to the nurse.  She's super surprised that I can walk and be as mobile considering the amount of weight I've gained and how big I look.  I've gained a total of 56lbs already, which is over 50% of my prepregnancy weight!!!  I keep asking the nurse and obstetrician if I'm gaining too much weight..and they both say I'm doing fine...so I'll keep eating!!

Maternity Shoot - Belly Flop: I had two maternity shoots in the past two weeks, one was super fun with with a new photographer and another one  was a complete 'BELLY FLOP'.  In summary, the 'Belly Flop' shoot ended up with me getting a rude and unprofessional email from the photographer that included name calling and involved the B-word.  Rick, the makeup artist and myself all had to go through a very uncomfortable experience.  However, I did get a full refund..just no pictures.  Rick is going to elaborate on the Belly Flop Shoot.

Maternity Shoot - Fun Shoot: Thanks to Melissa Smith and her friend Michelle Tuck!!  I'm so glad I did another maternity shoot just before the horrible one... I got some great pictures from the  'Fun Shoot' which included my belly, Guinness and Rick.  I will post more pictures soon!   Here's a nice one of my belly at 30 weeks by Michelle Tuck.

Visitors:  I had a fun filled long weekend with Ly, Kyle and wonderful Kyri!  They visited me all the way from Regina.  It was super fun being wheeled around again in Ottawa visiting baby stores.  Ly worked her legs pushing me up a sloped road, hunched over using her entire back strength, legs and arms while Kyle and Rick watched her.  I told Ly it would be a good work out, and I'm never going to be this heavy again so its going to be a memorable experience.  I can't believe how time flies...Kyri is already walking and talking.  She loves Guinness and Guinness loved kissing her!

Other: Stay Tuned!  Wow, I really need to blog more. I still have so much to say..its only been two weeks since my last blog..but so much has happened!! I'm going to sleep now and will post more later :)  I promise.

RickSide - Making the most of our baby gear

Rick:
For those who are friends with me on Facebook, you may have already seen these pictures.  We have all our baby stuff sitting around the house, not being used, and a pug that acts like a baby, so this was bound to happen.  Despite how calm Guinness looks in the pictures, it requires lots of pug wrestling and treats.  However, one picture we didn't get was Guinness in the play pen, and for some reason he loved being in there and fell asleep as soon as we put him in it.

28 Weeks 2 Days - Wheel Chair Bound at 151 lbs

Tracy: Its fun being wheeled around town!!  Last week, Jessica visited me all the way from Regina and we had an awesome time!!  She painted my nursery, wheeled me around Ottawa doing touristy stuff and visited Montreal for a few days. She's a godsend, helping me around the house when I needed it the most.  We ate a lot, ice cream everyday..it was heaven!!

Rick also loved wheeling me around too, crashing me into walls, boxes, furniture, and letting me go down a slope in Montreal. Funny Rick.  When I got out of the wheel chair for bathroom breaks or short walks, Rick would quickly hop into the wheel chair and wheel himself around the sidewalk with Guinness, trying to do tricks or just to rest.  Sometimes I think Rick is pregnant too because he's always tired early in the evening, eating lots and likes being in the wheel chair too.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS:  THE BEST RIDE I've had so far was when I discovered electric scooters at Loblaws. It was super fun cruising down the aisles shopping for groceries.  Rick couldn't keep up with my driving, I kept telling him to 'zoom zoom' or get out of my way!

Although it sucks not being able to walk more than ten minutes at a time without having a 15 minute rest and feeling like a gimp in this new body, its fun being able to take advantage of wheel chairs and scooters.  I rented a wheel chair for the entire month.  Its awesome.  At least I can shop around in the evenings and weekends when Rick is around.

BUTTERBEANS: Naomi and Keira are having a blast in my tummy.  They constantly move and they are definitely feeling heavier everyday.  My swollen feet and cankles prove it!!  They are struggling to support these babies :)  My stomach is always contorted to all different shapes and they love waving their hand or feet across the inside of my tummy when I place my hand on them.

WORK: Next week, I work two more half days and then I'm officially done.  I'm scared...being off work for soooo long and moving on to this new adventure with two butterbeans, Rick and Guinness.  In the meantime, Rick and I are going to take advantage of the time together..going on short excursions.  Normally I don't like sitting and moping around, going to spas and essentially not being active..but with these two watermelons in my stomache..I'm ok with it:)

OTHER:  Oh ya, I officially have a butt the size of J.Lo..except J.Lo has a much more attractive butt!!  I find my body hilarious and cool at the same time. With all this moping around, I've finally signed up for prenatal twin classes, a maternity shoot and completed my baby registry!!  Whoa hoo!!  AND I can't wait for my baby shower..so nice of Tara to throw me one :)

MY LAST TWO CENTS: My only hope is that during my next obstetrician's appointment that everything looks good and I don't go on full bedrest!! Cross your fingers!  I'm going to post more blogs now that I have more time too :)

26 Weeks - Weight: 148 lbs Gained: 45 lbs Waist measures 44 inches

Tracy:
I went to the doctor today and got 'fired' from cooking and cleaning!  So Rick has to do all the work now!!  Poor Rick.  I think I have to get a house cleaner because I don't think Rick has time between renos, managing properties and working full time!!

I worked my last full day today.  It was actually very uncomfortable sitting and having a full day meeting, now I understand why the doctor told me to reduce my workload.  I feel way too much pressure in my belly and I'm starting to get more and more cramps..likely because of my expanding belly.

The twins are slightly underweight based on their last ultrasound, 1 lb 9 oz and 1 lb 11 oz..rather than the normal 2 lbs...but pretty close and according to the doctor, everything looks good.  At the ultrasound, Naomi was shown petting Keira's back for a while, it was sooo cute!!   Keira had the hiccups and yawned too.  The twins are soo adorable, I feel lucky to have twins :)

24 weeks 5 days

Tracy: I've gained 39 lbs as of 24 weeks. My waist measures 40 inches now.  I feel fine, except my feet are swollen like big sausages and I'm starting to feel more pressure in my back and my belly. Keira and Naomi move a lot, so much that my belly gets contorted to all different shapes!! Rick can see and feel their bodies now. Its supercool.

My OB has also given me notice to stop work starting 28 weeks, well really at 26 weeks... but I asked to extend it by two weeks by working part - time only. I think I can do it.

I already noticed for the last few months that stress doesn't affect me nearly as much as it used too and I think its because I'm pregnant. I really like it..I wonder if its related to the hormones or eating all the time so my sugar levels are always good :)

On the other hand, I've also noticed that I'm rarely taking naps after work..and I wonder if thats healthy. Rest is super important at this stage and I guess I should at least lie down and relax every so often...I want to keep these babies in my belly as long as I can!!

3D ultrasound at 23 weeks 4 days

Rick and Tracy: At 23 weeks 4 days we got to see Keira and Naomi in 3D! It was really cool seeing their faces!!
Prior to going to the ultrasound we were worried that maybe we were going too early. We heard that if you wait until around 27 weeks, the facial feature will be more developed and you will get better results from the 3D ultrasound. Nevertheless, we went ahead with our original scheduled date, and we're glad we did. Turns out it's pretty crammed in that belly and it's only going to get more crammed as we move closer to the delivery date.
At 23 weeks 4 days there were legs and arms everywhere, sometimes making it difficult to get a clear picture of our babies faces. But, lucky for us, we did get some good views of their tiny faces. We also witnessed a little bit of pushing and shoving in the womb, trying to get Naomi's butt out of Keira's face. Anyway, here are some of the videos taken.
